- My daughter was born in the same year as Mayumi Itsuwa's debut. She was in 5th grade and when I played the album "Mado", she knew the order of the songs very well and when "Mado" ended she would start singing with voiced consonant mark "Adadakai~ Kazeni.." before the intro started. She must have loved "California". It is an unforgettable song filled with surprises and joy. My daughter will be 50 next year.

- I first listened to the song 12 years ago. I was in the third year of junior high school. I bought the best collection. Time passed, and I have fallen in love with three people. - I heard it on the radio in my twenties, and I have been listening to this song ever since. My 5-year-old son can sing "Koibito yo" perhaps because I sing the song at karaoke. But I feel most calming when I listen to it alone. For example, when something bad or unpleasant happened. The melody of "Shiosai" keeps me calm, "Umi" makes me feel positive, and "Shojo" motivates me that I will do my best tomorrow. I don't have a big episode related to the songs, but I would like to express my deep gratitude to Mayumi Itsuwa for sharing her energy for people who live their simple ordinary days.

- To be honest I love so many songs of Mayumi Itsuwa san I can easily list here more than 20 songs of her that I frequently listen to from the time when I was very young till today. But if I must choose only one song, so it is "Koibitoyo" the immortal masterpiece representing Japanese music in my opinion. I listened to this song first in Vietnamese version by a famous Vietnamese singer and was immediately captivated by its beautiful melody. But only when I listened to the original version with the superb voice of Mayumi san I was crushed and trembled totally. From radio (in Viet Nam at that time it was very very hard to look for CDs of foreign singers, especially Japanese singers) in a cold winter night I felt that her voice brought me to another world far from reality, not just listened to but really felt the music, an unforgettable memory. I was just 15 years old at that time. Later when I grew up understanding the meaning of the song with my own experiences, I love it more and more. I don't remember how many times I listened to it.
Thanks so much for Mayumi san for giving this masterpiece and other masterpieces to the world. For the other ones I also have many wonderful memories with them. In Viet Nam there are many people loving her songs like me.
Can not express enough my gratitude for her music. Though I am 40 years old a few years older than her son but I want to say I LOVE her really.
